My Daily Workspace Experience at Cuppa Workspace

cuppa workspace
Cuppa Workspace is a coffee-dine-business center kind of establishment, another place where you can have your own space to work and at the same time dine and enjoy coffee. How to go there: it’s located nearby former KSY convenience store, turn right heading to Madonna Hospital and stop until you’ll see a newly opened building (just after the the line of sikad drivers) where Cuppa Workspace is located along with 7-eleven and Monterey.

Cuppa Workspace has by far the most affordable rates to offer among similar establishments. The best one is their Daily Workspace rate for only P150 good for 14 hours of workspace usage that includes unlimited brewed coffee, high speed internet, charging outlet plus office desk materials (which is kind of amazing). Their hourly workspace rate may not be that affordable (since there is another establishment that offers a cheaper rate) but you get to save a lot if you avail the Daily Workspace.

My Daily Workspace Experience

cuppa workspace

For my wholeday experience, I’m trying to understand what exactly Cuppa Workspace is for? If basing only from its name, I’m assuming its a place intended for people who wants to work. However, upon entering the store, there are also mini tables and a big sofa on one side so, I’m getting the idea that there’s more than that. While reading their tagline “Coffee, Dine, Business Center,” it’s enough to enlighten me that people are also welcome to dine and enjoy coffee other than those who will avail the workspaces. The place should have been good if without the following disturbances that contradict to the “Workspace” they are trying to offer.

Background Music

Coffee shops are expected to play a background music but for an establishment that also offers workspaces, I don’t find it necessary. People are expected to work, though some may prefer it but not all are comfortable with it. The staff were approachable enough, though when I requested to minimize the volume a bit.

The Counter Appliences are Crazy-Loud

As soon as I heard a disturbing sound, I thought someone was fixing the comfort room but it kept coming back. It was later I discovered that it came from the counter since a few people were lining up. The blender sound was the loudest, the same thing with other equipments even the staffs while doing all the preparation were not mindful enough to the customers who are trying to work.

Boisterous Dine-in Customers

This is the main thing that confuses me. There should have been a divider to separate the workspace users from the dine-in customers.

Overall Experience

I think the place suits best for online workers as the internet connection is stable and strong enough to withstand the number of people using it. On the other hand, I don’t totally recommend students to study here as the above-mentioned distractions are too many. For dine-in customers, I just hope they would be mindful enough to the people occupying the workspaces. The staffs could also help a bit in moderating the noise or put a signage.

Furthermore, I also love their other anemities.
