5 Different Views and Spots During my 12 Hours Stay at The Librewry Cafe

It has been 6 months since the cdobloggers and I had a tour during the soft opening here at The Librewry Cafe. My 3rd visit to be exact and definitely, the first to stay for a record-breaking of 12 hours straight and I’m currently blogging this one just to kill the time until it strikes at 5:00 am.

For the whole duration, I had a coffee-gone-cold-and-asked-for-a-new-one kind of situation, had transferred from one spot to another and had eaten dinner and probably breakfast as well? Then, let me include the different views I had as well which I am about to share below in details.

1. The Lobby / Hallway

Tables and chairs and couches welcome you as soon as you step inside the Librewry Cafe but these are not the exempted places where you could sneak and study for free.hehe Instead, try browsing at the bulletin board and you might be lucky enough to claim something for free or pay it forward yourself.

I spent around 30 minutes here skimming notes as I was not in the mood yet to start studying but I ended up eating outside.

2. Ground Floor

I got back at 4:00pm and finally paid 5 hours for a total of P100 that comes with free unlimited coffee. If you have plans of going out, make sure it doesn’t take long or more than 20 minutes because your paid hours will be forfeited. Bring an extra ID due to be kept at the counter and if ever you forgot to claim it, it wouldn’t be that alarming unlike in my case before, I left my PRC ID which is required in taking the exam.lol

There are a lot to choose from their menu also. They have 2 WIFI, by the way.

The ground floor is the main library where most of the books are being displayed. At the far end is where their coffee bar is located. Water is also for free by the way, but it’s service/tap water so for those with sensitive tummies, it’s best to bring your own.

I spent an hour or two here because I was too lazy to climb the stairs.haha

3. Second floor

The second floor, on the other hand consists mostly of cubicles where each obtains a shelf for bags, study light and one socket while those located at the wall has its own cork-board. I didn’t spend too long here because the light was too bright that keeps distracting my eyes.

I transferred at the center cubicles, instead. The Librewry cafe’s main light reaches the areas so I didn’t have the need to turn the study light on.

4. Beside the Main Bookshelves

I felt claustrophobic as I studied inside the cubicle and it was 9pm so I needed more space for dinner. Then, it’s in this place beside the main bookshelves where I spent most of my hours, however, there’s too much distractions as I get to look up and observe the people at the second floor. It’s also the place where you get to hear all kinds of sound, which you’ll unknowingly search for it around the place.

5. Couch Study Area

It’s past 12mn, and bed and couch were the images flashing inside my brain. I had to endure it for a couple of hours waiting until the couch area is empty.

This was my most favorite area because finally, I get to lie down in time for my listening practice tests, however, it’s not too appropriate if you’ll do it in daytime.lol
